Elaina joined Stifel in 2012 and has more than 30 years of industry experience. She began investing through her grandfather in the late 1980s before joining A.G. Edwards in 1993. Prior to joining the investment industry, she worked in the hospitality industry.
Elaina earned a B.S.B.A., General Business, University of Central Florida and holds Series 7 and 66 securities licenses, as well as life, health, and variable insurance licenses (including annuities). She also earned the Accredited Asset Management Specialist™ designation.
Elaina is a founding member of the Women’s Initiative Network (WIN) at Stifel. She has also attended the Barron’s Top Women Summit the last 16 years, as well as the Forbes’ Top Women Summit since 2022, the inaugural year.
Elaina is a firm believer in the importance of giving back to the community. She is involved with a number of organizations, including the Brevard Zoo and South Brevard Women’s Center.
Elaina was born in Tokyo, Japan, while her father was stationed there, serving in the U.S. Air Force. Once he retired, the family moved to Brevard County, Florida. She has been married to her husband, W. Shane Garvin, for more than 20 years, and has a daughter, Chloe.
